As you know the National Parks Service is taking public comment on their proposed improvements to Gravelly Point Park.
While the league doesn’t have an “official” position on their plans, we think in general improvements are good. However, sometimes when improvements are made, rules and restrictions go into place that limit us from doing what we’ve been doing in the past.
Please take a moment to join us in adding public comment, no matter which plan gets approved, that athletic events, like wiffleball, at Gravelly Point be able to continue as they have.
Also, you might mention, since parking is the biggest issue at the Point, and the reason they have limited athletic events in the past, that maybe they should include more PARKING in their plans.
Comments close on Friday, June 22, so please take time to get your comments in right away.
You can list yourself as being a member of the Potomac Wiffleball League in the “Organization” section if you wish, but you don’t have to.
Thank you for taking time to help make sure wiffleball continues along the banks of the Potomac River.
