Game of the Week (Sp08): Week 2 Nominees

During each week of the Spring Season, the league will vote on the Game of the Week. The video of the game selected will be posted on the website.

VOTES ARE DUE WEDNESDAY AT NOON

Week 2 Games:

  • WMD’s beat Wackazoids (14-3): It took four innings for the WMD’s to run rule the Wackazoids. Steve Dubois drove in nine, with three homers and two doubles, while the Wacazoids committed four erros.
  • Rated ‘E’ for Everyone beat Wackazoids (15-5): In their second run rule thumping of the week, the Wackazoids probably reconsidered not forfeiting. Breakout performance by rookie Charlie Zold with four double and two homers in a three inning affair.
  • WMD’s beat Rossi Posse (5-0): Rossi Posse (and the wind) slowed down an offensive juggernaut by the WMD’s, but couldn’t put together any runs of their own. Guest Posse Jen Morrissey was welcomed to her professional pitching debut by getting rocked for four runs.
  • Rated ‘E’ for Everyone beat Rossi Posse (7-2): Rated ‘E’ struck early and held the Posse to just four hits in this 7-2 victory, with most of the damage done in six run opening inning pitched by Ross Nover. First time player Zold was five for eight with a homer.
  • Mega Maids beat Crazed Mud Puppies (3-2): It took seven innings for the Mega Maids to limp over the Puppies depsite being out hit nine to four. Costly mental mistakes by the Puppies handed this one to the Maids, the only team that remains unbeated.
  • Mega Maids beat Canvassers (2-1): The Canvassers blew a one run lead they held for six innings giving Brett Beyerlin an inside the park home run on a bloop fly ball. Three Canvasser errors didn’t help either as this one goes eight frames before the Mega Maids deal the defending World Champs a setback.

    Even though we didn’t get get 50% + 1 of the vote for the Mega Maids v. Crazed Mud Puppies Game (we did get 70% over 2 games) ... is there any way we could get the video of the whole game posted?

    I agree with Coger. We would really like to see the complete game with Thad and his dominate pitching.

    much like Pedro Serrano, Wackazoids hit pitching very good. Fielding, hands are afraid.
