Statement by the Canvassers Organization
From the Desk of Chris Gallaway, Manager, Canvassers, 2009 Summer World Champions
As the world now knows, we were not able re-sign Nicholas DiCrosta and Matt Dreyfus for the Spring 2010 season.
These two players are among the best playing the game today, and among the greats in the history of the game. When their former, and future, teammates abandoned them last season, we were happy they found a home with our organization, and we were honored they were a part of the fifth Championship season in our club’s history.
Their time on our roster was too short. We wish them well as they return to their former team.
No organization can survive for nine season and five World Championships without some personnel changes; ours in no exception. The Canvassers will continue to be competitive in this league for the foreseeable future. There are two big holes in our lineup to fill, but we will, and we will continue to win World Championships as we have done five of the nine times it has been contested.

Strong words, but who are you trying to convince? This sounds like a desperate cry to somehow heal the newly opened wounds.
Rumors have circulated that Scott Boras has recently added Steve DuBois and Tony Ragano to his tab of highly competitive talents. Are these rumors true? have you contacted these All-stars?
With such two strong competitors on the free agent list, will the Canvassers try to revamp the freshly broken World Champions? If so, are the Canvasser’s pockets deep enough?

It’s been done before.
