Week 2 was as hot as Week 1, but the ball started moving more, much to the dismay of pitchers. The home runs flew and we started to get to know some of the new kids a little more.
The Commish had predicted Alcoholics Anonymous at Joe Buck Yourself would be the game of the week to watch. It wasn’t bad, but the walk off Flaglove homer to beat the Singleton Lodge Sluggers in the bottom of the sixth 7-6 was definitely the game of the week. It was Jesse Contario’s third dinger of the game, and he might just have earned Flaglove their first nominee for POTW.
Despite all the new teams, some with real talent, old favorites Clubber Lang and the Canvassers improved to 4-0 and sit on top of their divisions.
