These are the stats used in the PWL, and their meanings.
Batting Stats
- GP Games Played
- IP Innings Played
- PA Plate Appearances (In the PWL, Plate Appearances is the same as at bats (AB) because we do not have walks or hit by pitch which do NOT count as AB’s but do count as PA’s in MLB)
- H Hits = Number of Singles + Doubles + Triples + Home Runs
- 1B Singles
- 2B Doubles + Ground Rule Doubles
- 3B Triples
- HR Home Runs + Inside Park Home Runs
- R Runs
- RBI Runs Batted In
- Avg Batting Average = Hits divided by Plate Appearances (PA) (In the PWL, AVG is the same as On Base Percentage (OBP) in MLB, again because we don’t have walks or hit by pitch. Some say AVG is the most over-rated statistic in wiffleball)
- Slug Slugging Percentage = Total Bases divided by Number of Plate Appearances (PA)
- RE Reached On Error
- FC Reached On Fielder’s Choice
- SF Sacrifice Flies
- SO Strike Out
- GO Ground Out
- FO Fly Out
- HBFB Hit By Fair Ball
- CO Called Out
Pitcher Statistics
- GS Games Started
- GC Games Completed
- SHO Shutouts
- SA Saves
- BF Batters Faced
- H Hits Allowed
- 1B Singles Allowed
- 2B Doubles Allowed
- 3B Triples Allowed

- IP Innings Pitched (One half inning is given for each out)
- ER Earned Runs
- ERA Earned Run Average = (ER * Innings Per Game) divided by IP
- OBA Opponent’s Batting Average
Fielding Statistics
- Pos Position
- GP Games Played
- TP Time Played (Number of Outs Played at Position divided by Outs Per Inning)
- PO Put Outs
- A Assists
- E Errors
- F% Fielding Percentage = (PO + A) divided by (PO + A + E)
- CPE Chances Per Error = (PO + A + E) divided by E
