Guide to the Stats

These are the stats used in the PWL, and their meanings:
All Stats
- R – Rookie A player shall be considered a rookie unless, during a previous season or seasons, he has qualified for the minimum amount of appearances in any one of batting (PA), pitching (IP) or fielding (TP) stats.
Batting Stats
- GP – Games Played
- IP – Innings Played
- PA – Plate Appearances
- AB – At Bats = (PA – SF)
- H – Hits = (1B + 2B + 3B + HR)
- 1B – Singles
- 2B – Doubles + Ground Rule Doubles
- 3B – Triples
- HR – Home Runs + Inside Park Home Runs
- TB – Total Bases = ((1B + (2 * 2B) + (3 * 3B) + (4 * HR))
- R – Runs
- RBI – Runs Batted In
- AVG – Batting Average = ( H / AB )
- SLG – Slugging Percentage = ( TB / AB)
- OPS – On Base Plus Slugging = (AVG + SLG)
- RE – Reached On Error
- FC – Reached On Fielder’s Choice
- SF – Sacrifice Flies
- SOL – Strike Out Looking
- SOS – Strike Out Swinging
- SO – Total Strike Outs = (SOL + SOS)
- GO – Ground Out
- FO – Fly Out
- DP – Hit Into Double Play
- BT – Batted Out of Turn
Pitching Statistics
- GS – Games Started
- GC – Games Completed
- SHO – Shutouts
- SA – Saves
- BF – Batters Faced
- H – Hits Allowed
- 1B – Singles Allowed
- 2B – Doubles Allowed
- 3B – Triples Allowed
- HR – Home Runs Allowed
- R – Runs Allowed
- SO – Strike Outs
- W – Wins
- L – Losses
- PCT – Winning Percentage = (W / (W+L))
- IP – Innings Pitched (One half inning is given for each out)
- ER – Earned Runs Allowed
- ERA – Earned Run Average = (ER / IP * 6)
- OBA – Opponent’s Batting Average = (H / BF)
- HIP – Hits Allowed Per Innings Pitched = (H / IP)
- FIP – Fielding Independent Pitching = (((HR * 13) – (SO * 2)) / IP + 4.00)
- K/6 – Strikeouts Per Six Innings Pitched = (K / IP * 6)
Fielding Statistics
- POS – Position Played (1B = Fielder)
- GP – Games Played
- TP – Time Played (Number of Outs Played at Position divided by Outs Per Inning)
- PO – Put Outs
- A – Assists
- E – Errors
- F% – Fielding Percentage = ((PO + A) / (PO + A + E))
- CPE – Chances Per Error = ((PO + A + E) / E)
- RF – Range Factor = ((PO + A) * 6 / TP)
