Potomac Wiffleball League: Videos

Runners advancing on a caught foul ball is one of the no-brainers in the Potomac Wiffleball League. It’s tough to get an out. The World Series brings out the best in people though, and Kyle O’Grady goes the long way and throws a strike 65 feet to nail Ty Fletcher trying to get to second base. We put all three camera angles on this one. You can’t see anything in the last one, but we wanted to get Ragano’s call.

Two Quick Pitches...

The Spring 2010 World Series was an epic battle between two great teams. Two close games, one going extra innings. For the DCS we highlighted Brian Ford’s K that sent Hitless to the World Series. It’s only fair that for the World Series we post his final two pitches in the 8th inning of the last game. It was quick, but when it was over, the Barnburners were champions of the world.

(NOTE TO THE KIDS AT HOME: Try to ignore the Barnburners terrible base running on the last play, both by Fletcher and Shannon. Sometimes you win even if you do everything wrong.)

The Last Out...

Since the game videos are all HD now and take forever to render, we thought we’d give you a sneak peak from one of the centerfield cameras. This is the last out of the DCS between Scared Hitless and Clubber Lang. Alex Filides had a great DCS and made up for a meltdown of a season. It all came down to him, one run down, down to the last out, with a man on third base. He hit a foul ball that missed a home run by inches, then Brian Ford sat him down.
