VIDEO CLASSICS: Summer 2008 Postseason
With no new wiffleball this weekend, and a long three day break for the Labor Day holiday, we didn’t want you to have nothing to watch. We dug up the Summer 2008 Postseason videos from the archive and posted them for the first time for your viewing pleasure.
- World Series: Catalista Revolucion defeats Scared Hitless (2 Games)
- Western DCS: Catalista Revolucion defeats Clubber Lang (2 Games)
- Eastern DCS: Scared Hitless defeats Canvassers (2 Games)
You’ll probably notice the videos aren’t as widescreen as we use now and the sound quality isn’t as good. Back in the old days, we used cameras that recorded on mini-DVD’s…and only recorded for 30/45/60 minutes. Somehow the settings were for 45 mins, so a couple of these games are also cut off. Absent are the fancy blue-tooth mics we now use to capture the sound of the ball whiffing by, or the umpires commentary.
There wasn’t anything terribly exciting about the Summer 2008 Postseason. But, if you want some kind of highlights:
- First Night Game in League History (Eastern DCS Game #2: Scared Hitless at Canvassers)
- First World Series that didn’t feature the Canvassers
- Brett Beyerlin being an idiot (All Catalista Games)
